EMS0000 Public Safety Telecommunicator (CCP)
The course prepares students for employment as a dispatcher for police, fire and ambulance agencies. The content includes, but is not limited to, ethics and the role of the telecommunicator; standard telecommunication procedures; overview of emergency agencies; communications equipment, functions and terminology; telephone and dispatching procedures and techniques; federal, state and local communication rules; and emergency situations and operating procedures.
