HUS3340 Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (BS)

This course explores the various causes of trauma, PTSD and the education of trauma-informed practices. Topics include child abuse, war, human trafficking and domestic violence. Focus includes the development of interviewing, evaluation and networking skills necessary for working effectively with clients who have suffered traumas. The course also examines the connection between post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse.
