MTE0003 Marine Rigger (PSAV)

This course prepares students with the entry-level skills needed to work in the marine service industry. Hands-on training combined with laboratory deomonstrations and classroom lectures will give students a full understanding of technical and employment skills, safety and organization. Students will learn to service and repair trailers, various types of boat materials, two-stroke cycle outboard engines, boat fuel systems, marine electrical systems, capacitor discharge ignition systems, and outboard engine fuel systems. The course also covers the procedures for preparing boats for customers and proper use of computer systems related to parts specialization.
