ARH2050 Art History: Ancient to Renaissance (AA)
Prerequisite: Non-exempt students must provide appropriate English and reading placement scores or course completion required to enroll in this General Education course.
A comparative exploration of art, architecture and design from the Paleolithic period to the Renaissance including selections from the Western Canon. Various art forms will be studied critically with regard to their formal quality as well as the larger context of world events and philosophy. Emphasis will be placed on the artists role in society.
