BCV0050 Introduction to Building Construction & Carpentry (CCP)
Corequisites: VPI0100, VPI0200, VPI0300
This course provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills essential for success in the construction and woodworking industries. Emphasis is placed on shop and construction site safety, the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, mathematical applications in construction and the interpretation of construction drawings. Through hands-on projects and real-world scenarios, students will gain the confidence to be in an entry-level position constructing buildings, structures and woodworking projects that meet industry standards.
