The objective of this course is to teach the advanced protocols that students must master to meet graduation requirements. Thorough hands-on training is demonstrated and practiced in the sonography lab. A study of the principles of diagnostic ultrasound and practical aspects of scanning techniques, film critique, film identification and patient care and handling as related to sonographic examination. The course stresses the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment and routine images obtained.
