RTE3588 Mammography (BS)

Corequisite: RTE4941L (with a grade of C or higher)

This course introduces the core concepts related to radiographic imaging of the breast. Breast anatomy and pathology will be included in the presentation of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Special patient considerations and the mammographer's role in women's health will be explored. Federal regulations as described by Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will be applied to all aspects of mammographic imaging.
