PRN0099 Concepts of Fundamentals of Practical Nursing 2 (CCP)

Prerequisite: PRN0098 (with a grade of C or higher)

This course continues to introduce health care recipient, professional nursing and health and illness nursing concepts through many exemplars covering the lifespan. Theory and application of the nursing process is introduced. Rationale for judgments used in the delivery of safe, ethical, and quality care is emphasized. Principles of growth and development, health maintenance and wellness across the lifespan are presented. Development of nursing skills continues with emphasis on medication administration. Integration of best evidence into practice will be emphasized during clinical experiences in a variety of settings.
