ACR0501 Fundamentals of HVAC Systems and Industry Practices (CCP)
Corequisites: VPI0100, VPI0200, VPI0300
This course introduces students to the foundational concepts and practices in the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry. Emphasis is placed on the importance of health, safety, and environmental management systems in ensuring organizational performance and regulatory compliance. Students will also develop key employability, soft skills, and entrepreneurship knowledge while learning to create effective career plans. Additionally, the course covers the use and maintenance of industry tools and accessories, along with essential mathematical principles, and explores the properties of matter, heat behavior, and the history of HVAC systems.
