DIM0132 Diesel Brake Systems (CCP)

This course introduces the student to hydraulic, air, parking and anti-braking systems. The student will identify and explain the principles of these systems and their components in a variety of hands-on skills, including the ability to service and recondition hydraulic brakes in a lab/shop environment. The student will perform lab and shop procedures in the following areas: tool use and organization, personal safety and environmental practices, and diesel shop organization and management. This course will also provide the student with skills relating to workplace communication and employment as well as offer optional work experience training.
