DIM0151 Diesel Preventative Maintenance Technician (CCP)
This course will provide training in diesel engine preventive maintenance by using diagnostic techniques and manufacturer's maintenance requirements in a lab/shop environment. The student will use hands-on skills demonstrating the ability to do an oil analysis, perform mileage inspection scheduling, and follow the manufacturer's suggested maintenance procedures. The student will apply lab and shop procedures in the following areas: tool use and organization, personal safety and environmental practices, and diesel shop organization and management. This course will also provide the student with skills relating to workplace communication and employment as well as offer optional work experience training.
