Program Description

The Building Construction Management A.S. degree is focused on developing the competencies necessary for a successful career in construction management. The program provides both core content and integrative, hands-on education in the areas of materials and methods, cost estimating, scheduling and planning, and leadership. Students also will learn about building information modeling, site logistics, and mobilization. 

In addition to classroom instruction and laboratory exploration, students have the opportunity to obtain an internship during the summer break. The internship offers students an authentic environment for skill application and practice. Knowledge gained from coursework and an internship provides the students with the skills that support sustainable employment and career growth.

Construction management graduates typically start their career as an entry-level technician or field engineer and can grow in the industry to obtain career positions such as, but not limited to:
