Employment Opportunities
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of General Maintenance and Repair trade workers is projected to grow by 5 percent from 2023 to 2033, which is about as fast as the average for all occupations. This growth is driven by the need to construct new homes, commercial buildings, and infrastructure to accommodate a growing population. As urban areas expand, and older buildings require updates, General Maintenance and Repair trade workers will be essential for constructing and renovating structures to meet modern standards. Additionally, there is a demand for these skilled workers in sustainable building practices and new technologies, which are increasingly important in both residential and commercial construction projects.
Career Path Notes
