Program Description
This program combines both EMT and Firefighter curriculum into a single program of study, Students admitted into the 698-hour cohort, will prepare for entry level positions in Firefighting. Students first complete the 300-hour Emergency Medical Technician program, then continue directly into the Firefighter program. This program meets all curriculum requirements to prepare the student for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician assessment exam EMT-Basic, and for the State Firefighter certification exam.

Admission Requirements
- Have a standard high school diploma or GED;
- Must be at least 18 years of age on or before the start of the program;
- Complete an Application for Admission, located at www.palmbeachstate.edu/admissions/Admissions-Applications
- Complete a limited access EMT program application available on the program website.

Completion Requirements
National Registry EMT Basic Exam passing score, Florida Board of Licensure Exam passing score.

Program Length
15 weeks for EMT and 13 weeks for Firefighter 1.
