Employment of electricians is projected to increase 11% nationally between 2023 and 2033, which is much faster than the average for all occupations. This steady growth is driven in large part by significant activity in the residential construction sector. Skilled electricians are needed to wire new homes and multifamily residences, install modern home technologies, and support renovations.
