Specialized training/industry certifications, ASE Certified Master Medium-Heavy Truck Certification (T2-T8), and EPA 609 Technician Certification.

AND

Six years as a medium or heavy truck technician and demonstrated competency in teaching the discipline. 

OR

Specialized training/industry certifications ASE individual certification for individual courses as revised and approved by the Lead Instructor and/or Associate Dean. EPA609 will also be required for the A/C module no later than 60 days of hired.

OR

Diesel License or Certification from a recognized Institution and an Associate, Bachelor's, or master’s degree in Post-Secondary or CTE Education with 5-years minimum of field and teaching experience verifiable. NO ASE Requirement. EPA609 will be required. 10 years of minimum field experience.

NOTES:

Some AER courses are crossovers with DIM courses.

ASE A series, T series, and S series can have crossovers.

ASE T series, S series, and E series can have crossovers.

Any faculty/instructor with ASE L1, L2, or L3 can teach AER/DIM courses.

For all Faculty: Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom; must be able to use the technology required for the assigned course.

Coursework within the degree must reflect competencies in the courses to be taught.
