Academic and Professional Preparation

All degrees and course work must be obtained from regionally accredited colleges or universities.

EMS

Associate degree or higher in any field

AND

For EMT positions: Florida Certified Paramedic, BLS Provider Certification, BLS Instructor Certification, Level A EMS Instructor  Certification per FAC 64J-1.0201

For Paramedic/Clinical positions: Florida Certified Paramedic, BLS Provider Certification, BLS Instructor Certification,  ACLS Provider Certification, ACLS Instructor Certification, PALS Provider Certification, PALS Instructor Certification.

Certification, Level A EMS Instructor  Certification per FAC 64J-1.0201

AND

Three years of professional experience as a paramedic in the pre-hospital setting FAC 64J-1.0201

For all Faculty: Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom; must be able to use the technology required for the assigned course.

Coursework within the degree must reflect competencies in the courses to be taught.
