Faculty preparing to teach online or hybrid courses, preparing courses for delivery in Canvas, or seeking to strengthen their use of Canvas and related instructional technologies are strongly encouraged to complete applicable PBSC Online training resources. Additional training may be recommended based on the faculty member’s instructional assignment, course development responsibilities, or need for support with specific technologies.
Additional Canvas Training Resources
Faculty and instructors may access additional Canvas training and support resources through the Help and Commons areas within Canvas.
Canvas Commons provides access to shared instructional resources and materials that may be located by subject area or resource type through search and filtering tools.
The Help area in Canvas provides access to training and reference resources, which may include Canvas guides, instructional videos, webinars, training opportunities, and the Canvas Community. These resources may be used by faculty seeking additional support with Canvas features, course management practices, or related instructional tools.

When requesting assistance, faculty and students should provide specific information about the issue, including the course, tool, activity, error message, or steps that led to the problem, when applicable. Based on the nature of the request, assistance may be provided by Canvas Support, PBSC Online, or Palm Beach State College Information Technology.
